Overall, an enjoyable read.
This cozy had two things I love front and center - coffee and NYC!
Claire Cosi, who owns a coffee house in NYC, is investigating the mugging of a family friend. A family friend who just so happens to be a new business partner that has come up with a flavorful decaffeinated coffee hybrid. As you may have guessed, there is a lot of talk about coffee. I loved it! I particularly liked the history lesson on how different countries "acquired" plants to grow coffee. As for the story, I particularly liked Claire's mother-in-law. Her antics were amusing as she helped Claire get to the bottom of things. The mystery was so-so. Kinda predictable. Thus why I only gave it 3.5 stars. The overall story arc moved along nicely, and I'm looking forward to see how things develop in future installments.
