If it's good, I'll read it! Instagram: @crystenasbooks
A good follow up to Path of Destruction.
Darth Bane takes on an apprentice, Zannah, who he teaches the ways of the Dark Side. Meanwhile the Jedi grow suspicious that maybe, just maybe, the Sith weren't all destroyed on Ruusan.
This book was a bit slower. Understandable as the Sith are now hiding and training. Some of the book felt like filler. You are rewarded for your patience though, the ending was tense and exciting.
The book loses 1 1/2 stars for Sith sorcery. I am not a fan of this and I can see this is going to be a thing in the next book which does not make me happy. In the middle of a lightsaber battle, making yourself invisible with a cloak and sneaking up on your opponent in order to win is Lord of the Rings, not Star Wars. It read like a cop out in this universe of lightsabers and force powers.
On to the final installment in this series, about which I now have mixed feelings...
