If it's good, I'll read it! Instagram: @crystenasbooks
I almost feel nuts posting this, because this book is being talked about for awards and the author hailed as a voice of a generation or something or other.
This book is why I am wary of reading insanely hyped books.
I read roughly one third of it and liked NOTHING about this book. It's downright disturbing at times in an icky, uncomfortable way. And the writing? I understood the words, but, silly me, I'm a fan of prose that makes sense. The prose was jarring and thoughts felt incomplete. The story? I didn't know who to root for or better yet, even if I am supposed to root for anyone.
No way would I recommend this book. It sparked all kinds of bad feelings. I wish I had never picked it up.
