If it's good, I'll read it! Instagram: @crystenasbooks
I read this book back in February, courtesy of Netgalley, so it was received free in exchange for an honest review.
This book is beautifully written. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other books by this author.
The story is about a woman finding her way after losing her grant as a neuroscientist. She rents a cabin on the Great Barrier Reef for a year. So it's in part about rediscovering yourself. This book is also in part a love story, the kind that has a realistic feel to it that rips your heart out with hard choices.
I do recommend the book, but be warned it was more emotional than I expected. Ms. Ogden didn't shy away from the science- it's there and accessible. The author has a background in neuropsychology which drew me to the book. I wanted to see how her analytical mind played around with these common themes.
I recommend the book.
